Greene and Lenoir County Manufacturers Associations Joint Meeting
Greene and Lenoir County Manufacturers Associations came together today for a lunch and learn at the Lenoir Community College Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Center.
After lunch, a presentation was given by Dawn Kantz, Associate Dean of AAMC & Workforce Development for LCC, and Melissa McGurk, International Trade Manager for the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.
Then, a tour of LCC’s Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Center was given, where Greene and Lenoir County leaders could see one of the state’s best Community College manufacturing centers and how it works to train our region’s workforce.
The Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Center is located adjacent to the North Carolina Global TransPark and is an excellent resource for aviation and aerospace training.
The EDR is appreciative of the training and learning opportunities Lenoir Community College offers the region’s aviation, aerospace, and manufacturing industries—all to support a more robust workforce, which creates a healthier economy for eastern NC.
