Trey Receives Governor James E. Holshouser Professional Development Scholarship
EDR proudly announces that Trey Cash, our Greene and Lenoir County Director of Economic Development, has been awarded the prestigious Governor James E. Holshouser Professional Development Scholarship at the 2024 North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA) Fall Conference!
This scholarship, created in honor of the late Governor Holshouser, is awarded to only one recipient annually. It recognizes Trey’s commitment to advancing economic development and leadership in North Carolina. As part of this scholarship, Trey will have the opportunity to travel outside of North Carolina to receive professional development training in economic development taught by nationally renowned instructors. The scholarship covers his tuition, travel, and all related expenses, allowing him to enhance his expertise and bring valuable knowledge back to our region.
This is a significant achievement for Trey and the entire region as we continue to work to grow and strengthen our local economy.
