Project Butter Announcement – Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc.

Great news for Wayne County and all eastern NC! Governor Roy Cooper announced yesterday that Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc., the largest independent pickle company in the United States, will be expanding its operations into Goldsboro, NC.

Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc., which has been based in the town of Mount Olive since 1926, has purchased the former SPX Flow facility and the former Cheney Brothers distribution building in Goldsboro. These two sites, totaling more than 290,000 sf, will allow three more production lines, warehousing, distribution, and office space. As a result, approximately 167 jobs will be created in Wayne County.
