North-Side Airfield Expansion – North Carolina Global TransPark

Over the past months, the North Carolina Global TransPark has begun expanding the north-side airfield by clearing 75 acres with plans to install a new perimeter fence. This project is a crucial step towards bolstering the security of the 11,500 ft runway and preparing for future tenant growth. Additionally, it will improve drainage and provide accessibility for maintaining the grounds adjacent to the forthcoming FRC East C130 MRO Complex. In essence, this initiative is a forward-looking effort to enhance the infrastructure of the North Carolina Global TransPark and the park as a whole.
