NC Global TransPark Fuel Farm Construction – Update

The underground lines have been installed, foundation pads have been completed, and the three vertical steel tanks are being constructed. The ridged fuel tanks are made of steel plates welded together. The fuel farm’s maximum capacity is 500,000 gallons of fuel. The retaining wall for the above-ground tanks is an impressive rubber membrane-lined concrete wall that contains any fuel spills.

This new fuel farm, located next to NC Global TransPark’s 11,500-ft runway, will help meet the increasing fuel service needs due to recent tenant expansions and the airport’s expected growth.
