InfinityLink Communications Holds Groundbreaking

InfinityLink Communications held a groundbreaking for their new headquarters today at the Highway 70 West Industrial Park, Kinston, NC. Today’s groundbreaking was made possible by a $450,000 grant from the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA).

InfinityLink Communications will extend high-speed fiber internet to 17,000+ addresses within Lenoir County. This move will generate 51 well-paying jobs and an investment of $4,100,000, boosting the Lenoir County economy.

In March of 2022, InfinityLink Communications, in partnership with the NC Global TransPark, was awarded one of 13 grants by the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration. This grant will supply $29,985,800 million to expand broadband in Lenoir County to 15,256 unserved households across the county. Today’s event is an essential step in that direction.

Access to high-speed internet is necessary for businesses, industries, schools, and residents. It is an essential infrastructure that strengthens our local economy and communities in eastern North Carolina. The North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region and Lenoir County welcome this expansion.
