East Carolina University Instructors Tour North Carolina Global TransPark

Today, East Carolina University (ECU) instructors toured the North Carolina Global TransPark with stops at Draken International, flyExclusive, and Lenoir Community College’s Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Center. A presentation on the North Carolina Global TransPark (NCGTP) and its vital role in the aerospace industry and DoD support followed up the tour.

The tours were part of ECU’s annual Purple and Gold Bus Tour, which encourages partnerships and research that have long-term benefits for the people and communities of eastern North Carolina. The tours showed instructors first-hand the NCGTP’s assets and economic impacts on eastern NC. ECU instructors learn about these local industries and the great paying, exciting, high-skill jobs they create in Eastern NC while discussing ways to address industry training needs to meet the demand for skilled workers.
