Alianza Team Announces Expansion into the United States with New Manufacturing Facility in Goldsboro, NC
Goldsboro, NC – June 18, 2024 – Alianza Team, a prominent organization in the vegetable lipids, fats, and oils sector across multiple Latin American countries, is excited to announce its expansion in North Carolina. With over 75 years of expertise and a robust presence across Latin America, the company is committed to sustainability, people development, innovation, high-quality standards, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. This new initiative signifies Alianza Team’s entry into the U.S. market, highlighted by the planned construction of an advanced food production facility in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Alianza Team is committed to creating positive outcomes for customers, consumers, and the environment. The company has widespread operations in Colombia, Chile, and Mexico and exports to the United States, Puerto Rico, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Curaçao, Argentina, and Bolivia.
The new plant in Goldsboro is designed to be a rail-served blending and finishing facility, which will receive essential ingredients by truck or rail. It will focus on assembling products and distributing them throughout the United States. Construction is set to begin in 2024, with the facility expected to be fully operational by November 2025.

Alianza Team anticipates that by 2029, they will produce over 13,120 metric tons (approximately 29,000,000 lbs.). Positioned strategically in Goldsboro, the site offers access to both railroads and interstate highways, enabling efficient receipt of raw materials and prompt delivery of finished products. This location is particularly advantageous as it facilitates quick shipments to the Northeastern U.S., where the bulk of the company’s existing customers are based.
Partnering with the North Carolina Economic Development region were the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, Department of Commerce, NC General Assembly, North Carolina Community College System, North Carolina Railroad, Norfolk Southern, Wayne County, Wayne County Development Alliance, City of Goldsboro, Duke Energy, North Carolina Southeast, Wayne Community College.
A public hearing and announcement were held today in Goldsboro, NC, at the Wayne County Courthouse. Alianza Team will create 16 new jobs and invest $36.4 million in capital investment.
