2024 North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA) Fall Conference
The North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region’s Trey Cash and Julie Graham joined other economic development professionals for the North Carolina Economic Development Association’s Fall Conference this week in Greensboro, NC. Amanda Conner, the Property Manager for the North Carolina Global TransPark, was also in attendance.
The theme was “Mountain Strong: Support, Recovery, and Resilience,” focusing on the resilience and recovery efforts in Western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene. This conference was not just about connecting—it was about standing together to support our communities in their time of need.
Discussions were based on recovery, community, and building back smarter and more resilient. Some of the guest speakers were Christopher Chung, CEO of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), Marla Newman, Director of Community Development & Neighborhood Connections for the Town of Apex, and Dr. Allison Plyer, Chief Demographer for The Data Center of Southeast Louisiana.
This event demonstrates that NCEDA conferences provide an excellent opportunity for economic development professionals from across North Carolina to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and build connections to advance their careers and better serve the needs of their communities.
