RIME Expo Reaches Over 500 High School Students

The Regional Industry and Manufacturing Expo (RIME) was a success! Over 500 high school students from Greene, Jones, Lenoir, and Wayne County Schools engaged in a great learning opportunity through this event. The interactive displays and discussions with industry representatives gave these students insight into the high-tech, well-paying careers found right here in our region and throughout eastern NC.

RIME’s goal is to promote the future workforce within Eastern NC in a fun, hands-on way! The event brings together local industries and manufacturers from Greene, Jones, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties to demonstrate their processes and tell their stories of present-day manufacturing in front of area high school students.

EDR is proud to have been a part of this event that connects with tomorrow’s workforce!

GOOSE CHASE WINNERS: During RIME, students from all schools participated in an interactive experience called “Goosechase.” This scavenger hunt-type game encouraged students to ask questions of the industry representatives who were on hand. The school with the most points wins.

Eastern Wayne High School is this year’s RIME 2024 first-place winner of the Goosechase contest. Way to go, Warriors!
