NCGTPEDR Regional Announcement

Today an official kick-off was held for the NCGTPEDR (North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region), a regional partnership between Greene, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties created to attract and retain business in Eastern North Carolina!

“This is a huge win for the Global TransPark and Eastern North Carolina,” said NCGTP President and CEO John Rouse. “The team’s knowledge and experience will build on the recent momentum here and ultimately bring more jobs and opportunity to our region.”

The “team” consists of Mark Pope, senior vice president, Keely Koonce, vice president, and Harold Thomas, vice president, joining John Rouse and the NC Department of Transportation to continue bringing economic growth to the region and Eastern North Carolina.

The NC Global TransPark Economic Development Region will aggressively market the region with the product assets, people, quality of life, and military bases to showcase Eastern North Carolina as a destination for high-quality economic investors.

NCDOT Secretary, Eric Boyette, says he “applauds the regional vision for developing business activity around the NCGTP. Communities working together always bring greater success, jobs, and investment.”
