I-42/US 70 Corridor Commission Meeting 

EDR’s Mark Pope and Trey Cash attended the I-42/US 70 Corridor Commission Meeting along with Tom Hendrickson, Chairman of the NCGTP Board.  

Mark Pope, EDR president, gave an economic development update on the region and shared info on current projects throughout the EDR region. Mark stated the positive impact the EDR region is having on business action for eastern North Carolina. He also noted the need for continued product development (buildings and sites) for eastern NC to stay competitive in attracting new industries and businesses. 

Tom Hendrickson gave an update on the progress of the NC Global TransPark with the advancement of aerospace and defense industries and present airport upgrades. 

Attending these meetings is crucial to knowing the latest economic development plans, adding valued information and direction, and raising awareness of the efforts applied to the EDR region and the NCGTP.
