Wayne-Sanderson Farm Tour with Lenoir County Commissioners

Today, EDR staff and Lenoir County Commissioners had the opportunity to tour the Wayne-Sanderson Farms Processing Plant in Kinston, NC. Complex Manager, Jared Lowe, led us on the tour after sharing some interesting facts and answering our basic questions.
We saw the technology and processes that go into bringing high-quality poultry products to our tables. From the moment the chickens arrive to the final packaging, every step is carefully monitored to ensure safety and freshness!
What impressed us most was Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ employees and their dedication to providing quality poultry products through efficient processes and a clean and safe working environment. As one of our region’s largest employers, Wayne-Sanderson Farms impacts our communities through career opportunities and supporting our local economy.
Also noted is their commitment to sustainability. Wayne-Sanderson Farms has implemented various eco-friendly initiatives, such as water recycling and energy-efficient practices, reducing their environmental impact.
