ECU Purple and Gold Bus Tour of GTP
A group of ECU’s new instructors toured the NC Global TransPark with stops at Draken and Flyexclusive. First, the NCGTP staff supplied lunch with a presentation on the GTP and its vital role in the aerospace industry and DoD support. Next, NCGTPEDR’s Mark Pope spoke on the region’s economic efforts, recent gains, and how the GTP is an anchor for growth.
The tours were part of #ECU’s annual Purple and Gold Bus Tour, which encourages partnerships and research that may have long-term benefits for the people and communities of eastern North Carolina. Through the tours, instructors see first-hand some of the assets NCGTP offers. Industries need skilled workers, and instructors need to know there are great paying, exciting, high skill jobs right here in eastern NC!
