Fleet Readiness Center East Opens New H-1 Aircraft Rework Facility

The ribbon-cutting for Fleet Readiness Center East, North Carolina’s largest aviation maintenance, repair, and technical services provider, is excellent news for the North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region and the counties it represents! FRCE has relocated its Air Force UH-1 “Huey” helicopter line to the Global TransPark facility in Kinston, and with that move comes economic opportunities. FRCE contributes more than $1 billion to the regional economy and provides career opportunities in technical fields, with an average annual salary of $72,000. That economic impact will be felt throughout Eastern NC.  FRCE Commanding Officer Capt. Mark E. Nieto explained. “We’re a major player in the aerospace industry in North Carolina, and the Global TransPark is a good fit.” For more info click: https://www.navair.navy.mil/news/FRCE-launches-Kinston-operations-Global-TransPark/Fri-03262021-1106
